Fairhill Community High School (FCHS) is an alternative, project/modular-based educational program for young people ages 16-21 years of age. Applicants may not have completed more than 13 CU high school credits. Eligible students for FCHS are young people with 13 or less credits who have dropped out of the Philadelphia public schools or are likely to drop out due to insufficient progress. Fairhill CHS is a project of International Educational and Community Initiatives (IECI)/One Bright Ray, Incorporated, which also created The Community High School (1980) and Community Academy of Philadelphia, a Pennsylvania Charter School (1997). Fairhill CHS is contracted by the School District of Philadelphia and exclusively serves Philadelphia students.
A highly structured and supportive program, Fairhill CHS students may earn a School District of Philadelphia diploma in thirty months or less, depending upon the amount of credits the student has earned at the time of enrollment. The program offers an extended school day and operates on a twelve-month schedule. Fairhill Community High School serves students at all academic levels, including special education and college prep.
Fairhill Community High School has quickly gained a reputation as a viable option for at-risk students in need of an alternative to the traditional school setting. Enjoy browsing our website and learning about the fantastic things happening on North 4th Street. Bienvenidos and welcome.
